“File Transfer Protocol” allows very large files to be forwarded to us from your desk.  Most email accounts will allow no more than a 20 megabyte file.  FTP has only the limit of the server size where it is stored.  Upload speed is dependant on file size and speed of your connection but would certainly be faster than email.
